Refund Policy
This Refund Policy explains our approach to refunds for repair and diagnostic services carried out by iPhone Repair Honpo. Our aim is to be straightforward and fair. Your statutory rights under UK consumer law are not affected by this policy.
1. Successful Repairs
For repairs that are completed as agreed, payment covers the parts and labour for the specific repair carried out. We test all repairs before handover and will not charge for a repair that we have not successfully completed.
2. If a Repair Is Unsuccessful
In cases where we are unable to repair the reported fault — for example, because a board-level fault exists that cannot be addressed through a standard component replacement, or because the device has pre-existing damage that prevents a standard repair from being carried out — we will inform you of this before any charges are applied for the repair itself.
A diagnostic fee may apply in cases where significant diagnostic work has been undertaken prior to the determination that the repair cannot be completed. We will advise you of any diagnostic charge before commencing diagnostic work that carries a fee.
3. Warranty Claims
Our repair warranty is described in full in our Terms and Conditions. In summary, we provide a 90-day warranty on parts and labour. If a fault covered by this warranty arises within the warranty period, we will carry out a free re-repair or replacement of the relevant part.
If we are unable to resolve a fault under warranty after a reasonable attempt, we will discuss the options with you, which may include a partial or full refund of the original repair cost, depending on the circumstances.
4. Diagnostic Charges
Where a diagnostic is carried out and the customer decides not to proceed with a repair following the diagnostic findings, a diagnostic fee may apply. The applicable fee will be communicated before the diagnostic commences. Where no diagnostic fee has been agreed in advance, we will not charge for the diagnostic.
5. Cancelled Repairs
If you cancel a repair after we have ordered parts specifically for your device, we may apply a reasonable charge to cover the cost of parts that cannot be returned or restocked. We will communicate this to you at the time of ordering if there is a specific non-returnable part involved. Where possible, we will not order parts until we have confirmed the repair with you.
